Session 8: Revised Storyboard
Tuesday, April 24, 2007

Me and my groupmate Paula Chian revised our storyboard. From a very complicated topic, Computer Hardware, narrowed to a simple topic CPU.

This is what we decided after a presentation of the proposed storyboard was held in the class.

Here is our prototype. Click the image below for powerpoint presentation.

    Hi,

I have read the prototype in your groupmates's blog. I think it is great to narrow the topic to CPU only as your previous topic is too board to be reached.

I think your group's topic is fitted to this course.

Hope the see your final version.

    Dear Diana and Paula,

Your CPU provides more information it is good enough for my secondary students to learn more about CPU.

When I read the Computer Ergonomics, there's a picture showing the example of correct postures with some sentences, it is good to remind computer users that:
Sit in the correct position at all times when operating a computer to increase productivity, reduce fatigue and reduce risk of body injury and strain.

I suggest to provde some photos showing the examples of correct and incorrect postures, especially the DISTANCE FOCUS OF EYES:
Look away from the screen and focus on an object at least 2 metres away from you.

    Diana and Paula,

Your design is very neat and the learning object is interesting enough for youngsters to explore.

On the other hand, would you consider contrasting the colors of the buttons and labels (i.e. 'Begin', and 'Explore')? I'm just wondering if that might help to spot the butoons more readily. Well, just a trivia.

Anyway, the instructions are simple to follow and explanations are easy to comprehend.

    Congratulations.

    David
